The magical misadventure Scrabdackle Act 1 launches December 2!
A hand-drawn world of genuine wit, discovery, and challenge is deliciously imminent
jakefriend, aka Jake, is launching their scribbly, open-world action-adventure Scrabdackle Act 1 on Steam December 2!
Scrabdackle may look whimsical, but don’t let the sketchbook style fool you. This is a big game, with 12-15 hours of content in Act 1 alone.
You’ll get to explore a vast, interconnected world where you’ll uncover hidden paths, come up against tough-but-fair bosses, meet curious characters with stories (or squabbles) to share, and piece together mysteries that stretch well beyond the borders of Act 1. The world is open and flexible, if you get stuck in one direction you can simply turn around and try another!
Though Scrabdackle is releasing via Steam Early Access, Act 1 is fully polished and stands as a complete adventure in its own right. Future acts will be added as free updates, each adding just as much content again. If you dive in at launch, you’ll already have a full, finished game to explore!
The base game price will rise with each new act added, so December 2 is not just a release date - it’s the best time to begin your journey!
Alongside the game, the Scrabdackle Act 1Original Soundtrack will also be available on Steam at launch, giving you a chance to relive your favorite moments (or discover new ones) through the game’s music.
Jake has poured years of effort and heart into bringing Scrabdackle’s world to life. From the first demo to Kickstarter support, from their community champions on Discord to the thousands who’ve added the game to their wishlist, this project has been shaped by the incredible fans who believed in its potential from day one.
We’re proud to stand alongside Jake while they bring Scrabdackle into the world, and we can’t wait for you to finally step into this genuinely joyful hand-animated adventure.
