Due to the creation of Story-Rich Showcase, LudoNarraCon will now be held in the September/October window each year rather than its usual timing of April/May.

The 2026 edition (our eighth!) will take place from October 8 -12 with the sale continuing through to October 15.

We recently wrapped all the production work on the Story showcase and it will be broadcast this Saturday, June 6 at 10am Pacific so we are now ready to start receiving applications for LudoNarraCon.

Official Selection

Approximately 50 games will be chosen for the Official Selection, the beating heart of the festival. We’re looking for the most interesting and exciting story-rich games from diverse teams from all over the world.

The Official Selection is open to games that have either released since the last event (May 2025) or are expected to release in the next couple of years.

Released games are required to run a discount from October 8 - 15 and are encouraged to make a demo available.

Unreleased games are required to have a public demo available during the event.

Rare exceptions to these requirements may be made in compelling circumstances such as launching your game in the weeks prior to the event, meaning you will be on cooldown and unable to discount.

The Narrative Game Sale

The sale takes place from October 8 - 15 and will feature between around 150 - 200 games. The only requirements to be eligible for the sale are to be a story-rich game and your title to be discounted for the sales period.

Applications will remain open until Sunday June 28.

Curation process and timeline

Curation for the Official Selection and the Narrative Game Sale will take place during July and we expect to let all applicants know the outcome of our decisions by the end of July.

Please note that we typically receive over 500 applications for the Official Selection and so less than one in ten will be successful. Whilst we are able to accept more games for the Narrative Game Sale, not all applicants for the sale will be accepted.

A note on panels

LudoNarraCon features two days of narrative-focused content streaming to Steam and YouTube and then available on demand via YouTube.

The schedule is traditionally a mix of content that we organise directly and panel discussions submitted by the community.

For the 2026 edition we are going to take a break from panel discussions and will focus on fireside chats and demo streams that we will organise directly. As such we are not putting out a call for panel submissions at this time.

However, if you are a journalist or content creator and would like to get involved with a demo let’s play or have an idea for a great fireside chat, we are happy to take pitches at ludonarracon@fellowtraveller.games.
